For many children from sugarcane worker families, education is often interrupted by circumstances beyond their control. As families travel from one place to another in search of seasonal work, children are forced to leave behind familiar classrooms, teachers, friends, and learning routines. What begins as a temporary move can slowly create long gaps in education, making it difficult for children to keep pace with their studies. Over time, many children lose confidence in their abilities and begin to feel disconnected from learning altogether.
ShreeNiketan Child Care Foundation was established in 2012 with a clear purpose of standing beside children whose education is affected by migration and economic hardship. We understand that every child carries dreams, curiosity, and potential that deserve nurturing. Education is not only about academic achievement. It provides confidence, decision making ability, communication skills, self respect, and the opportunity to create a better future. When a child remains connected to learning, an entire family moves one step closer towards long term stability.
Our efforts focus on helping children continue their educational journey through learning support, study materials, guidance, and a safe environment where they can focus on growth. Many children simply need encouragement, regular support, and access to basic resources to remain engaged with their studies. A notebook in the hands of a child, a teacher offering guidance, or a quiet place to learn can create a meaningful difference that extends far beyond the classroom.
The challenges faced by these children are real and ongoing, yet their determination to learn remains inspiring. We witness children who continue attending classes despite uncertainty, children who hold on to their dreams while balancing difficult circumstances, and families who deeply value education even when resources are limited. Their resilience motivates our work every day.

Many children from sugarcane worker families struggle to carry even the most basic learning materials as their families move for work. Simple items such as notebooks, pens, school bags, and study resources often become difficult to maintain. Through learning material support, children receive essential educational resources that help them stay connected to their studies and continue learning with confidence and dignity.
Children whose education is interrupted for long periods often need extra guidance to reconnect with learning. Regular study support sessions help strengthen reading, writing, mathematics, and classroom understanding in a patient and encouraging environment. These sessions create a space where children can learn comfortably, ask questions freely, and gradually rebuild confidence in their abilities.
For many children connected with sugarcane worker families, staying engaged with education remains a significant challenge due to migration and changing living conditions. Through community based support, guidance, and learning opportunities, efforts are made to keep children close to education. Every child deserves the opportunity to continue learning, develop new skills, and move towards a future filled with greater possibilities.
Feeding is a daily responsibility that cannot pause. Maintaining regular timing and availability of food creates stability in their lives, reduces stress, and ensures that recovery continues without interruption or setbacks.
